Why I Started
Hello, My name is Louis and I am from a small, rough city in Pennsylvania named Chester. There is not a lot of opportunity for success where I'm from. Like in most inner cities everybody is trying to find a way out and to better themselves. I was no different, where I am from beards have always been apart of the culture. Growing up I could not wait until I was able to grow one of my own. Luckily for me this great day came earlier than most at the age of 15. It made me feel like a man not to mention the girls loved it, which was always a plus. From that point on having a beard became a way of life! Sad to say, my beard journey hasn't been all fun and games. When it came to caring for my beard I would put any hair product I had in sight into it. Pink lotion, hair grease all kinds of product which seemed to not do me any good, for the hair on my head or my beard. My beard would itch, have dandruff and just not look its best, later i would find out that chemicals in other products were the cause of this. I would search every section of my local hair stores looking for a product strictly for beards but yet have natural ingredients. The struggle was real, which brought about a love hate relationship with my beard. I would cut if off, grow it back and cut it off again! Hoping these problems I was having would just be gone the next go around. I felt like no one in the hair industry cared about men like me facing the same problems. The hair stores are all catered to women with one little section for men and there would be not one beard product! Being frustrated with these facts and some research I started crafting my own beard care products using natural ingredients. After a whole lot of trial and error I had found a formulation that worked well for me, I never wanted to cut my beard again! I had decided to share it with other fellow bearded men through social media who ended up loving it too! From there on Top Man Naturals was born! I had been wanting to do this for quite some time but didn't think i had the resources to do it. With the motivation from my father and brother I decided to get my business started. Its been a great adventure so far and I hope that you too will enjoy the hard work I put into the beard oils, balms and other natural products in the T.M.N. family. Lets change the way society views beards and beard up!
